A Portion Primer

Just how much is in a serving?

It may be easy to lose track of what an “appropriate” portion of food looks like when super-size is the norm, and we’re surrounded by cookies the size of saucers and muffins as big as a fist! Even though it can be confusing, I believe it’s worth understanding what reasonable portion sizes are. My clients are always enlightened and surprised when I show them healthy-sized food portions; I base this on my ongoing training and experience with American Diabetes Association guidelines.
