In our last post, we had the pleasure of chatting with diabetes online community (DOC) bride, April Blackwell, about her recent nuptials. While discussing the additional preparations that need to be made for a bride living with diabetes, April mentioned that she got some great tips and advice from DOC bloggers.
Curious myself, I did a little research around “diabetes on your wedding day” and came across a plethora of wonderful information from prior DOC brides like Allison Nimlos, Kerri Sparling and Sysy Morales. Their creativity blew me away as tips included clever ideas like sewing a pump pocket onto your Spanx® for convenient access, creating a hidden pocket in your flower bouquet to hold emergency candy and more.
Many of us know just how stressful wedding planning can be, which is why I thought it might be helpful to have all of these valuable tips in one place for any (current or future) brides living with diabetes that are preparing for their big day. Check out our “Something Borrowed” infographic below and feel free to add your “diabetes on your wedding day” tips in the comments.
A special thank you to all of the DOC brides for their contribution to this infographic and happy planning to the future brides out there!
