YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program

Diabetapedia definition: A program based on effective efforts researched by the National Institutes of Health, aimed at helping individuals learn about and adopt healthy eating and physical activity habits that help to reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Participants of the program will receive support and encouragement from both a trained lifestyle coach and fellow classmates as they develop a plan for improving and maintaining their overall well-being.
